Looking to the Future with Planned Giving

Planned Giving enables philanthropic individuals to make larger gifts to the US HAEA than they could make from ordinary income. Planned gifts are not the result of great wealth but rather of a great desire to make a lasting impact.

Through the years, planned gifts from caring, passionate supporters have played a vital role in the US HAEA's long term success by helping us to advance our mission to increase HAE awareness and foster groundbreaking research.

We would like to encourage our community to support the HAEA through their estate planning. By simply remembering the HAEA in your will and/or beneficiary designations on your IRA, 401K, life insurance, or other similar accounts, you can make a transformative gift that will ensure that people in our community are able to live their best possible lives for generations to come while also establishing your own legacy.

Types of Planned Gifts

Planned gifts can take many forms and may provide immediate income tax savings and/or estate tax savings at your death. If you wish to include the HAEA in your will or revocable trust, please do so in consultation with your estate planning lawyer. Once the gift has been included in your document, please notify us so we can thank you and recognize you as an HAEA Legacy Donor. Such a gift can be made in several ways:

 • As a fixed amount of money or a designated asset (such as a particular stock or parcel of real estate)
 • As a gift of your entire residuary estate
 • As a gift of a specific portion of your residuary estate
 • A bequest to the HAEA in your will or revocable trust
