Register as an HAEA Advocate

Make your voice heard

Interested in volunteering as an HAEA advocate, but don’t know where to start?

As an HAEA advocate, you can make a critical contribution to the legislative process.   It is important that your voice is heard  – by policymakers, who rely on their constituents (you!) to make their concerns known.  On Capitol Hill, a united voice is key – the more people who participate, the better!

An Action Alert is a request to take a specific action on a current political issue. Responding to an Action Alert can be as simple as a phone call, a letter, or an email to your Congressional office showing your support of or opposition to a proposed piece of legislation or policy.  And sometimes a governmental agency asks for written comments from community stakeholders, like HAEA members.

An Action Alert is a great way to learn about the current and important issues on Capitol Hill and how you can help.
Watch for Alerts coming to your mailbox and raise your voice to advocate for HAE!
