SUMMARY:HAEA Youth Leadership Training - HAEA Youth Leadership Training offer professional development, advocacy and leadership opportunities for youth between the ages of 12 and 25 through joint in-person training and collaborative idea generation sessions while creating unique engagement opportunities for each group. The HAEA Youth leadership programs hold significant value for young people affected by HAE by offering them empowerment, skills, and a supportive community. The Youth Leadership Council and the Internship Program will equip youth with the confidence and skills to advocate for themselves and others, providing a sense of agency and control over their health. Through education, advocacy, and mentorship, young leaders become informed and engaged advocates, contributing to the rare disease community. They will also gain a supportive network of peers who understand their unique challenges, fostering a sense of belonging and emotional support. These programs will provide a sense of purpose, fulfillment, and opportunities for future career development, ultimately helping these young individuals lead more informed, empowered, and impactful lives. The Leadership Training is open to those who have applied for and been formally accepted to the program. If you would like to learn more about the HAEA Youth Leadership Programs, please contact Lisa Facciolla at lisa@haea.org.
