The Angioedema Center, in partnership with the US HAEA, aspires to improve the lives of angioedema patients in the US and throughout the world.

    The US HAEA Angioedema Center at UC San Diego is a center-of-excellence offering comprehensive care for patients with angioedema, state-of-the-art diagnostic tests and techniques, the latest available therapeutic modalities, a full range of patient support programs, and cutting edge translational research in angioedema.

    The Center values the team approach to patient care. After the Center team works with your patient to determine the best course of treatment , they will work with you, the local physician, to assure continuity of care.

    Center physician scientists also conduct research on new HAE therapies. HAE treatment plans are based on the latest expertise in medicine. This unique bench-to-bedside approach to research and patient care is provided in a state-of-the-art reference facility on the campus of UCSD.

    The Center exists to assist you whether you care for one HAE patient or ten, whether you are looking for a consult on a difficult HAE case or you simply wish to learn more about HAE as a rare disease.  The Center is here for you and your patient.

    The Center’s unique “bench-to-bedside” approach to angioedema research and patient care supports the HAE community – from research in genetics to the most advanced treatments, the Angioedema Center is at the forefront of personalized angioedema medical care.
